If you are a woman with your own company, and you offer unique items (whether it be direct sales, online website, art, hand made items, baby items, jewelry, or other items), then this is the group for you! Simply on the image to the right for
Unique Women in Business (UWIB).
If you want to see items that are made by UWIB team members, head over to Etsy at http://www.etsy.com/ and search for UWIBteam to see all the items that are available.
You can even search for particular items that are made by the team.

For example: if you want to see what red Christmas items are available from the team, put three keywords into the search box: red, Christmas, UWIBteam and see what comes up. This morning, 146 items came up! Everything from jewelry, ornaments, handmade soap, wallets, fabric gift boxes, baby blankets, scrapbooking supplies,
to Harvest Moon by Hand's red window stars.
Today I have featured Sew Danish by Birgitte, a fellow member of UIWB, and I will be randomly featuring other members over the next few weeks.

Tactile Flower Keyring in Dark Blue Velvet
This double sided velvet flower shaped key ring is such a cheerful item.
It is so much fun to make. It really makes me smile.

Since the flower is double sided there is no front or back. Both sides are just as nice.
This tactile flower looks as lovely when hanging from a purse strap
or back pack, as it does when clasped to any kind item,
that you want to be able to find with ease.

The flower is machine stitched using velvet and a selection of sewing threads.
The outer part of the petals have been dry brushed with acrylic paint.
That area has a firmer texture and feel, contrasting the soft velvet in the center.
The edge has been finished with paint for a rustic look.
The center of the flower is on both sides embellished with beads.
Some of the beads are more than likely recycled.

The flower measures approximately:
Diameter approx: 3,25 inch (9 cm)
Width: 1/8 inch (3mm) wide.

Big Hugs and Chmokies,

  1. Do you like Mary Englebright? My mom and I love her! I just saw your "bloom where you are planted" quote and it made me think of her! :)

  2. Hi Nicole....Awe, I sure do love ALL her stuff, but my favorite is the "Bloom where you are planted"
